How does the second camera work?
Our system uses the frontal camera of the device where the activity is being performed, generally a computer, and also the camera of a external device (mobile phone or tablet) capable of reading QR codes. It is enough to use a mobile phone or tablet without having to install any application on it.
Oir monitoring tool monitors the user's behavior during the test and send a report to the academic manager including the results obtained.
How do I place the camera?
Place the camera on the side (right or left) of your table and chair. In order to proper monitoring with an external camera, the following must be observed:
Part of the face.
The upper surface of the work table (without forbidden elements such as mobile phones, tablets, headphones, etc.).
Your computer screen (Ask your institution If the use of more than one screen is allowed).
Follow this instructions for place the external camera:
It should be positioned to one side of your desktop.
At a height of about 30cm from the work table, so that it captures the entire surface (right and left of the computer), with a slight inclination towards the computer.
At a distance of about 60cm and no more than 1.5 meters from your computer
Do not place it behind or in front of you, or at a height lower than or equal to the work table.

Camera permissions on external devices
If your institution requests to monitor you with an external camera, you must review the browser permissions on your mobile device or tablet. You need to read the QR code on the instructions page in order to link your mobile device's camera to your activity monitoring.
Remember: You must place the device in landscape mode (you must have the screen rotation option activated) and give camera permissions to your browser.
Screen timeout on Android
Generally, you should be able to find the Android screen timeout setting under
Settings → Display → Screen Timeout.
Choose the option to keep your screen on as long as you want.
Keep the iPhone display ON
You can set how long it takes the iPhone to automatically lock.
Go to Settings
> Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock, then choose a length of time.
Requirements for correct operation
It is neccesary have a web camera connected to the computer (front) in which you are going to perform the activity. Besides, you will need a mobile device/or tablet with a camera and internet connection (external/second camera).
Frontal camera
You can use your device's internal camera or a USB-connected webcam.
It should point frontally towards your face, which should be centered in the image and well-lit.
External camera
You should place the external camera lateral to your workspace so that you can see your computer, your hands, and yourself as it appears in the image.
You must put it in “landscape” or horizontal mode.
Make sure it has enough battery, or keep it connected to the charger throughout the activity.
If a message appears informing you that the verification was incorrect, you should not start your activity, and you must refresh the page so that the verification process can be carried out again.

Place your mobile phone as indicated in the image.
